It was the 28th of September and time was half past seven in the evening. A retail class was in progress at one of the lecture halls. In the middle of the class there was some murmur going on between few students, some excited faces and some curious faces trying to overhear them. The news being that the nine member team who went to attend Samraj Aim 2007 at Alagappa University have won the overall championship and not just that, it is the third time this is happening among 40 management institutions from all over South India.

Samraj Aim is a management meet conducted by Alagappa university every year with the objective of bringing out and enhancing the various competitive skills of budding managers. Some events conducted are paper presentations, financial game, business quiz, best manager and ad zap. Each event has number of qualifying rounds to clear and promises attractive prizes for the fittest.

The day started with the paper presentation and our students Rajkumar Schwartz and Uvais Ul Karan bagged the first place for the topic "Scope of KPO in India". This was followed by the event 'Best Manager" which was participated by Benley Rajan Samuel who managed to clear four strenuous rounds to be one among the top three finalists on stage even though the title was bagged by a student from a different college. Our team of Rajkumar Schwartz and Vigneshwar Kirupakar managed to occupy the fifth place in the Business Quiz finals.

The finance game was represented by Kiruba and Shwetha Chawla who cleared two rounds to the finals. The excitement was around the liveliest event of all, the ad zap where the team of five members comprising Shanmugaraja, Uvais Ul Karan, Kiruba, Anand Ganesh and Triumbuk get to coordinate as a team and put in their creative ideas to promote a product assigned to them. The product assigned was laptop and our students managed to grab the attention of the noisy spectators and made them enjoy it. The result, our team bagged the first place!

The day ended with great excitement and a few words from the director of the institute. The team came back with an attractive trophy, some T shirts and cash award.
