E-Week : DAY 4

The fourth day of the E-Week witnessed an amazing and inspiring speech by our chief guest Mrs.Sujatha Krishnan, CEO of Suvai Foods.  Mrs.Sujatha is one of the successful business women in Tamilnadu.  She spoke about the importance of student life and insisted on the necessity for voracious reading habit.  Being a women she stood alone and crossed several hurdles to bring up her business.  Her success story boosted up our confidence level.

The speech was followed by the event "OUTBOXED OUTFOXED" which kindled the creative minds of JSB'ians.  All the participants expressed their out-of-box thinking in a very admirable manner.  The evening was filled with fun and lea ing, and at the end of the day the curtains closed leaving great expectations for the upcoming events.

E-Week : DAY 3

On the third day of E-Week (8th Feb. 2010), Mr.A.Muruganandam enthralled the students with his "think small, act big" business approach.  He is a social entrepreneur and inventor of Mini Sanitary Napkin Machine, which won him the Best Innovation Award 2009 from the President of India.  We lea t that the aim of business is not only to ea profit, but also serving the society by finding solution of socio-economic problems.

The exciting student Event of the Day, "The Buck Stops Here", gave them an opportunity to lea the ropes of bootstrapping, and the participants came out with new ventures and proved themselves to be budding entrepreneurs.

All frontiers were crossed and new horizon attained as we JSB'ians proved our mettle once again at "ADROIT'10" hosted by D J Academy of Managerial Excellence on 5th Feb 2010.  A team of 12 comprising P.Keerthana, D.Ankita, B.Revathi, Joseph, Sandeep, Saravanakumar, Nagamaheshwari S, Bhagavatheeswaran, Subramaniam, Sharon B.Nair, and S.Shanmugapriya of 2011 Batch made it to the final round of HR. Marketing, Finance, and Business Quiz.  M.Shankaralinkam (Student - 2011 Batch) Won the Beat Manager, the team won the Overall Championship and thus added one more feather to the cap of JSB

The evening on the second day opened with the enlivening speech by our chief guest Mr.Suren Vikash, Founder of "Thunk India".  Thunk India is a unique organization involved in product innovation using waste materials.  Listening to him was a great experience which widened our horizon and made us appreciate the need for efficient waste management.

The evening further witnessed the event "BEST OUT OF WASTE" which inspired our enthusiastic participants to emerge out as innovative product designers and the evening was nurtured with joy of innovation.

The fabulous E-WEEK @ JSB commenced on Saturday 6th February 2010.  It was inaugurated by Mr.RajeshKumar, Founder and Director of FACE, one of the emerging young entrepreneur who is involved in career development programmes.  An interaction session was held and we gained a great insights on entrepreneurship.  He fostered new ideas and quenched our entrepreneurial thirst.  He spoke about the significance of career development and personal empowerment.

The Event of the Day was "IDEATION".  All the participants revealed their novel business ideas and the eve was power-packed and spirited.
