Mr. Ravindran Solomon, Partner, Salt Creatives, Chennai started the mo ing session with interesting commercials / advertisements. This workshop on understanding consumer behaviour, had two sessions. In the first part, he gave us an insight into how the various categories of customers - women, kids and men, have changed over a period of time. He explained that children are not just children who juggle between school and home. As marketers we must understand that children constitute 1/3rd of the population and area, and are big target segments for marketers like us. They are smarter these days and have a choice of products.
He then not only showed us successful ads but some ads that have failed and that helped us in drawing great lessons from it. On 17th September, the students were given some topics and asked to prepare some commercials which were presented in the second part of the workshop.
